Adua And Friends
Directed by Antonio Pietrangeli
In 1958 the law made brothels illegal in Italy. Adua, Lolita, Marilina and Millie are 4 prostitutes and they pool their savings to open a restaurant .They buy a run-down building but their permit is rejected because of their history of prostitution.
One of former customers agrees to buy the building but he expects them to run the restaurant as a front and work as a brothel on the upper floors.
