The Poet And The Spy

In 1919, Russian spy Beatrice is in Fiume (Rijeka) to protect Italian poet and war hero Gabriele D’Annunzio during his revolutionary takeover. As political tensions rise, she crosses paths with Pietro, a conflicted intelligence chief, and Giulio, an anarchist deserter from WWI. Their intertwined fates reflect historical events and Italy’s struggle between revolution and looming dictatorship.
